She’s A Very Freaky Girl…she’s a super freak!

“Mom, you know that picture in the upstairs hallway? Well, it’s gotta go! That girl has been freaking me out for years. She’s the reason I can’t sleep at night. Weird things have been happening around here and I’m pretty sure she’s got something to do with it. Either she’s gotta go, or I’m spending the rest of my life sleeping on your bedroom floor.”   Jay-9

What do you think? Does she freak you out? Do you think she’s responsible for the missing TV remote, the disaster in the basement, the empty Gatorade bottles and candy wrappers under the couch? How about the the mysterious boogers on the bathroom wall and the forgotten homework assignments? Have strange things been happening in your home? Maybe she’s to blame. Look at her, she’s pure evil.

The worst kind of evil, disguised as pure innocence. 😉

  2. ryoko861 says:

It’s the eyes…they follow you everywhere!! BWAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA……. yeah, I would dispense with it.

  3. Yeah, that’s totally creepy!

  4. Sandi Ormsby says:

Why IS that on your wall?

    • When I bought her years ago, she fit the decor of our old colonial. After we moved into the home we live in now, I didn’t have a spot for her downstairs so I hung her on a random wall in the upstairs hallway. I never gave her another thought. Apparently, Jay can’t think of anything else at 1:00 in the morning. I’ll ship her to you, if you’d like. 😉

  5. Is she missing an arm? Or is it just behind the flowers? Maybe the arm is under the couch?! LOL

  6. What is she hiding behind those flowers? A tiny dagger?

  7. madtante says:

I truly do want to know where the hell that came from but I’m with Jay. It’s a bit freaky.

    • Years ago, I was really into antiques, but not so much anymore. I think I may have picked her up at an antique store. Maybe I can sell her back, but I worry she might curse the house.
This whole blog post could be turned into a horror movie. 😉

  8. Lenore Diane says:

I don’t find her creepy, perhaps because I am safe at home – away from her.

  9. I love your blog too much not to tell you…and to share it with others. I have nominated you for some awards:

  10. Dad says:

Since she is in a remote spot, I never gave her much mind. Now that I think about it, Jay is right…she’s definitely a bitchy little thing. Plus, if he sleeps better, we sleep better…time for a change there.

  11. Maybe it’s those oddly long bloomers she’s wearing…

  12. zencherry says:

She kind of looks like she’s waiting for someone to turn around…expectantly. That’s the word. Brrr. I’ve just now looked at it and feel like sleeping outside someone’s door for protection. (High fives Jay) Totally with you on this one Jay. The boogers on the bathroom wall? Not so much.

  13. Scholar Mel says:

My mother had an angel that hung behind the toilet. It was hung from the neck which made it appear dead. I could not sit on my scholarly throne in peace because I could see the dead angel in the mirror. I always hid the angel in the drawer.

  14. Spectra says:

My concern is, you can only see ONE hand…never trust anyone with one hand out of view…she may be pulling a 9MM out from under those flowers… do you have any long-lost mob connections you’ve neglected lately? Maybe someone’s uncle did you a favor in college, who you didn’t properly acknowledge???

  15. Nancy, unless i’m mistaken i do think that that’s the lost Vermeer “Girl with one forearm”? i’d get an appraisal immediately. continue…

  16. John Erickson says:

I have to agree with the majority here, time for Little Missy to find a new home somewhere – like in the attic or the basement.
Though, somehow, I have a VERY strong feeling that the strange “goings-on” won’t decrease one iota….

  17. bearman says:

OK. you convinced me. I have a clown picture from when I was young that is now in our house. Only place my wife will let me keep it is in the basement bathroom

  18. cooper says:

she has that rod serling/twilight zone/outer limits quality…

    burn it…

  19. dragonfae says:

ROTFL … I don’t know what’s funnier, Jay’s comments or those here on your blog. 😆

The painting doesn’t freak me out, but it does seem a tad odd to me. 😉

  20. Karen says:

    Blue shoes….yeah, I’m with Jay, she’s a little freaky. 🙂

  21. Michael says:

I’m totally with Jay on this one. She is pure evil. Don’t you have an old Aunt or perhaps your mother in law who you can give that to as a Christmas gift?

  22. Deborah the Closet Monster says:

This post has me laughing, but I have to admit I can see where he’s coming from. I’m just hoping, for your sake and his, that he loses his fear of the dark before he’s nineteen. (Not to say that I was deathly afraid of the dark and creepy paintings until then. Nope. That was . . . the other one who looks like Deb.)

  23. Hahaha…
I can’t bring myself to look her in the eyes…
I keep expecting that whole frame to start rotating slowly…

  24. Tony McGurk says:

I’m totally convinced that she’s the culprit. Who else could be responsible for such calamity???

  25. rastelly says:

A picture once hung at my grandmother’s house.
A kindly old man in a boat smiling affectionately at
a little blond girl who seemed to be from the village
of the damned. My aunt took it home because they
always thought it resembled my cousin. Who just
so happened to be – a little monster.

I still wonder who the artist was – it was an
old print but I get the feeling he truly understood

  26. artjen1971 says:

I find her a little unnerving… Maybe the only way to avoid a haunting is to give her to some unsuspecting person for christmas!
